CSUCI: "What's a signature?"

Tue Oct 27, 2009, 12:42 AM
The power brick for my laptop decided to make relay/reedswitch-ish noises...but there are no relays/reedswitches in it, so it needed to go back before it burnt Housing down.

The replacement was shipped FedEx overnight. FedEx overnight always gets to the campus a little before 3. It arrived on a Wednesday. For some reason, the Housing office is closed from 3:00PM to 3:30PM on Wednesdays, presumably so everyone can masturbatedo something important, but this wasn't a problem according to two desk assistants.

Someone decided to clock out early, so the driver decided to take it back to the warehouse. Which is in Oxnard. 15 fucking miles away.

What's worse, one of the higherups in Housing keeps pestering me to meet with her about how I "expressed the situation to a desk assistant", to which I can only assume the part where I called Housing incapable of following basic instructions and left a map of the route I'd have to drive with said desk assistant.

The new crop of desk assistants remind me of that old experiment where someone found out lime Jello has brain waves by hooking it up to a brainwaveometer. I'm convinced, by this and earlier examples, that if such a device were fitted to a Housing desk assistant, the readout would be identical.

IHTFP.

ps: Drunk-ass roommate is drunk, and I can't sleep.
